  1. In the photo, he looks like he is in deep thought. The lighting only allows us to see half of his face, making him seem secretive and hiding something. Yet in the background, the light is on the other side in the bottom left corner. His watch is an interesting shape, it is also a dark colour, along with his clothing. His shirt is black and the picture has very dark shading.

  2. In this photo you see Elvis Presley. The photographer has used the lights to add shading to half of his face. Elvis is posing with a dreamy kind of, distant look on his face. The photo is done in black and white to add the kind of distant effect and all photos were black and white back then.

  3. In this photo of Elvis, he looks like he's looking at someone just next to the photographer. It's in black and white. He looks very peaceful in this picture. The light is only on one side of his face. That gives the effect of being deep in thought. He is wearing dark clothes and a dark watch. His hair is in the shade.

  4. I see Elvis Presley posing with a dreamy look in his eye. The lights are shining into his face so I’m certain there was many takes of it because of blinking. There is a contrast of light and dark colours, which shows how Elvis can be good and bad.
He is wearing a watch, which could mean that he is punctual, and that he is rearing to go.
I think this picture was taken for an album or maybe for a poster. I don’t think it was a leisurely picture. This picture is Sepia but an old version like a maroon colour.

  5. This is a very interesting photo of Elvis Presley. There is evident shading around his head. This gives a sense of mystery and shows there is a possibility of two sides to him. The greyscale effect shows that the photo might be old and gives more of a mysterious sense. The look on his face suggests that he is thinking about something. This image is aided by the positioning of the body, specifically the hands. His expression could also be perceived as bored, or nostalgic. The picture can be interpreted in anyway depending on how a person looks at it. The photographer did a great job in capturing all sorts of emotions in this picture.

  6. The photographer has positioned the light in such a way that half of Elvis is hidden in shadow. There is a possibility that the photographer has done this to signify that there are two sides to his character; one that we all are familiar with and the other less known side of him. Elvis' eyes and facial expression look almost wistful as if he is looking at something in the distance. The way that he is also holding out his hands adds impact. The picture contains no colour, just black and white, which emphasises the light positioning and shading.

  7. In this portrait of Elvis Presley you can tell that there is a lot of shading used by the photographer. His face is a lot lighter than the rest of the photo, which gives it a really good effect. I think this photo is of him waiting for someone in particular because you can tell by the expressions on his face and also he has a watch on his wrist, which represents the time.

  8. In the picture of Elvis I see him with different shadings of light and dark greys with a tinge of a red or maroon colour. His pose is in a thinking position. He isn’t looking directly at the camera, which makes it look like he his day dreaming or deep thinking. The shading with light on one side of his face and dark on the other could be the photographer trying to capture Elvis’s both sides of personality.

  10. You can tell that that the photographer has positioned the light so that it is shining on his face from the right side of the photo. His hands are positioned so that he looks as though he is thinking while staring out into the distance in a straight face of solitude. His eyes focused on something in the distance. The picture could have been used with one his sadder albums.

  11. The image looks like it has used some intense shading, making it dark around the face and hair. The background definitely looks photo shopped. In a real image, there would be an environment behind the person. In this it looks like it’s been copied and pasted and used some shading, around it. It has a sharp distinction between the skin and background of the image.
He looks like he is in a thinking position.

  12. In this photo Elvis Presley looks like he is dreaming or he is thinking. Half the photo is light and the other half is dark. The dark half makes you feel like he did something bad within his life. And the light half makes you feel like he did something awesome. He is also not looking directly at the camera. And the photo is in black and white.

  13. I think the photographer is trying to show Elvis’ inner thoughts. He looks into the distance but there is a shadow overhead, which covers his face. I interpret that he is wondering or in deep contemplation. I think that the photographer has used the black and white effect to add more detail into the photo and make the audience curious as to how Elvis is feeling.

  15. This is a photo of Elvis Presley. The shading of the photo makes it so you can only see half of Elvis' face; the other half is covered with a shadow. I think the photo is trying to capture the emotion of what he is showing at the given time. I think this because of how the shading is put in certain places, and the position his hands are in. It looks like he is looking into the distance and is thinking about something.

  16. You can tell it’s an obvious photo shop because of the discoloration in the background. His hair doesn’t sit right. Also, its not his clothes and you can see, from the color of hands, they don’t belong to him. He has a watch on to show he was rich and powerful.

  17. It probably isn’t the normal colour of the portrait because almost everything is brown. He looks like he is thinking about something. The person who took the photo used lighting so that you can’t see one half of his face. He looks really calm and laid back and looking into the distance at something.

  18. He has a watch representing his wealth, the darker contrast kind of represents out he has both a light and dark personality and his hand wrapped together represents maybe prayer or a kind of relaxed mood.
